Come, enjoy and get to know Costa Rica as few folks do.
Participate in a wholesome family environment as a most welcomed guest.

Costa Ricans, by nature, are a jovial and hospitable people. We've
selected a number of nice homes exemplifying this good nature, with pleasant,
comfortable accommodations, and hosts anxious to share our culture and the
warmth of their family with visitors of good will.
Whether you plan to stay a couple of nights or a couple of
weeks, you'll find a HomeStay experience in Costa Rica enlightening,
entertaining, economical, and most enjoyable.
And you'll get to know Costa Rica and Costa Ricans as you never
would, in any other way.
You can think of BELLS' HOME HOSPITALITY (BHH) as a B&B in
that a hearty breakfast is included in the price, but in reality BHH is more,
it's a HomeStay.

Differentiating a HomeStay is that you'll be guests in
the private home of a "tico" family and invited to participate in family
activities, meet the relatives and friends, involve yourself to the point that
you wish, and get a native's view of 'Costaricana'. You'll get tips on
places to go and things to see, on shopping and transportation, as we say,
you'll get to know Costa Rica as you never would, in any other way.
Most of our host homes are located in the residential suburbs of
metropolitan San José, all have a friendly, healthy family environment, anxious
to receive you as welcomed guests, to share the warmth of their families, orient
you to the Costa Rica we know, and to make your visit more meaningful, a real
cross-cultural experience you'll treasure for many years to come.
Our hosts and their homes are varied, but all are close to
reliable, frequent, public transportation, some offer single accommodations
only,

while others have double and/or twin bed accommodations. Some speak
English others don't. Some have children others don't, some have pets,
some are smokers, others are not. Some have bathrooms exclusively for the
use of guests, others are shared with the family. All have hot water
showers. You can indicate what your requirements are and we'll match you
to the appropriate host family.
Hosts have varied occupational and leisure time interests and
you may want to mention your own with the possibility of matching like
interests.
Review the preceding, think about what your particular interests
and/or requirements are and let us know. We'll place you with the family
that will assure you have an extra enjoyable stay while in this lovely
country.
We have left dinner with the family optional and you may make
daily,

flexible arrangements with your hostess regarding the evening meal.
Dinners are charged at $7.00 each p.p. and are payable directly to your
hostess. Light laundry service is available at a small additional charge
in most homes and there are many commercial, next day services available
throughout San José.
Spanish is the native language of Costa Rica, but you'll be
surprised how many people speak and understand English and are anxious to
improve it by practicing with you. In most of our host families, someone
speaks English at one level or another. Many visitors find that if they
can handle even 'survival' Spanish, their proficiency level rises considerably
during a total immersion HomeStay experience in a Spanish speaking environment.
You be the judge, let us know how you feel about the language consideration and
we'll match you up accordingly ..."No problema".
In closing, I just want to mention that as a 25 year resident of
Costa Rica and realizing it has 'barely' been discovered as the superb holiday
destination that it is, I'm sure you're going to enjoy your visit to Costa
Rica. And knowing the "ticos" and our host families as we do, we're even
more certain your enjoyment and appreciation of Costa Rica and its way of life
will be enhanced many times over by experiencing 'Costaricana' first hand with a
BHH HomeStay.
